- 1Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. To make the crust mix the sesame cracker crumbs and melted butter until well blended . Press mixture into an 9 inch pie plate or tart pan.
- 2Bake at 375 degrees F for 7 minutes. Cool.
- 3Grease a roasting pan and add the asparagus, pinch of salt and pepper and olive oil. If using bacon, line a baking pan with foil. Arrange bacon on a cooling rack or slotted baking sheet and place on the foil line backing pan. place both dishes in the oven and bake to crisp, 15-18 minutes.
- 4In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and cream, add 3/4 cup of the havarti cheese and 1/2 cup of the cheddar cheese. Then stir in the remaining ingredients. Top with the remaining cheese.
- 5Pour the filling into the cooled pie crust. Top with the remaining cheese. Bake for 50 minutes or until golden and cooked through (the center shouldn’t jiggle).
- 6Allow to sit for 5 to 10 minutes before cutting.
